Just finished another batch in Public Speaking on Saturday. It was great, a perfect blend of all aged students. Also, just about finished the shoot of my latest film 'Bombay Black' and will start the editing, music and dubbing in a few days time. Will be going on a picnic in a week or so. Message Blog for 29th March - Summer is Here!
If you haven't felt the heat of Summer yet then you haven't been outdoors between 11am to 4pm in Mumbai. I am currently occupied with my summer classes in Public Speaking & Personality Development and get little time to do anything else. Once I come home in the evenings I listen to some rocking music or soft music depending on my day. Thereafter I sit in front of the TV watching something or the other. The off to sleep and the same old routine again. I intend to break this routine pretty quick as I am not much of a routine man!

Message Blog for 21st Janauary - Been a Long Time
It's been a really long time since I have updated my blog here. I am now working very hard on my overall fitness and considerable time every week goes towards this goal. I am also spending time improving my Spanish language skills as I will be taking Advanced courses by end of this year. I also completed another feature film called 'The Wishing Flower' which is expected to screen at a few film festivals in the coming months. So, this is all for now, rest of my life remains more or less the same!

I have realised it's really important to spend almost all my free time with loved ones and close friends. In the last 3 months I have made considerable efforts to spend quality time with all my closed friends and loved ones who I could not spend enough time with for whatever reasons. I have learnt that not only has this made me get closer to all these chosen few but has also made them get closer to me and spend their free time with me. I am indeed blessed to have so many close friends and loved ones in my life. Hope you can too!

Message Blog for 9th August - Rainy Season
Unlike most Mumbaikars I really love the rains. I have been outside this whole week during the evenings enjoying the rains and the sea at Rock Beach, Versova. On Saturday evening I will go for a long ride on my bike to Marine Drive enjoying the mist from the waves there. And, then on Monday I leave for Khandala - probably the best place ever to enjoy the rains in India. So, basically I love the rains and I am enjoying my life to the fullest. Hope you can too!

I am more busy than previously expected this summer taking 3 different courses everyday for 5 days a week. I am enjoying my time and also slowly starting to lose all the weight I gained from New Year. So everything's fine. Will be updating you about my vacation plans this July a bit later.

Message Blog for 22nd February - Great Day
Today I decided to part ways with some old friends and partners. SDIMS is now fully functional and registered as a vocational training institute. SDIMS offers courses in Mass Communication & Journalism, Event Management, etc.

It was a bitter sweet occasion as I parted ways with L.S.Raheja College after what has been a pretty tough year there with a lot to learn from. I realised that you always get the big reward when you work hard.

I am proud to have achieved my goal that has been eluding me for the last 3 years. I am now on the lookout for affiliations with foreign institutes to offer even more courses. Wish me Luck!

Message Blog for 21st February - Proud Day
Today I learnt that when you treat people like family & entrust them with responsibilities they are incapable of handling they turn on you. In over a decade of being in training today was a monumental day for me. I decided to cut the loose strings & stand on my own in my career.

Somehow in the afternoon my instincts told me to make up my mind on a goal that I was long delaying because some little people were in need of training. Then I realised that it wasn't the little people that were stopping me, it was me. So, I made up my mind to do what I wanted to do for over 3 years. Set up my own training institute for vocational courses in India.

The biggest joke is that I had got all the approvals and licenses done for this institute quite long ago but never had the courage to move on with the project. I am grateful to the little people that gave me a huge push today to make up my mind.

And of course, I am ever grateful to my family and close friends without whom all this would not make much sense. And to the little people my final words - Grow Up!

I completed my second movie shoot & editing. It's ready on DV Tape & needs to be converted to DVD soon. I do feel it's a pretty good effort since this is just our second shoot & we completed the shoot & movie in under 6 days. I am going to start the film festival promotion work for these 2 films in the new year. If you can help in any way or support us kindly let me know.

I am going well with my new weight loss program. I am even recording how things are going on my handycam so I can edit it and cut a short film in 6 months or so. Thanks to YouTube & Google Videos it is really easy for simple guys like me to get recognition for our videos almost overnight. Will keep you posted on my video links as soon as few are ready.

It's wedding & party season and everywhere you look there is someone or the other getting hitched or readying to party. I have 4 different bachelor parties & weddings lined up in the next 7 days itself. I am off to Goa for the New Year after spending a quiet christmas at home with a few close friends in Mumbai. We start shooting our second film from Monday. The film is about loneliness in old age with just one central character & guess what, it's a silent movie. Also, this movie will be ready in 10 working days which makes us the fastest art film makers in India. I certainly seem to have learnt a lot from my first movie. Will keep you updated on the shoot in the coming days.

It was a great learning experience for us shooting our first full length movie. We begin shooting our second full length movie in a week or so. Both these films will be screened at few festivals in India & abroad.

Message Blog for 19th October - Asian Film Festival Report
The Asian Film Festival was not as good as it normally is each year. The movies were mostly of extremely poor quality and the volume on most of the films was too loud. The good part though were a few good films such as 2046, Children of Heaven, Unarmed Combat, Roomboy, etc. made it all worthwhile.

I am headed to Goa next month for the film festival there and I hope it is much better than the festival in Mumbai. Also, we are starting production of our first full length digital film soon. We are looking out for musicians, actresses, dancers, etc. for certain secenes of our movies. Do call me if you wish to take part in this exciting adventure of ours.

Will be attending the Asian Film Festival from October 12th to 19th at Y.B.Chavan Center. Will update all of you on the happenings there. We are producing our first full length digital film this December. Will give more details of the same in the future.

Message Blog for 25th September - Film Festival Time
Having finally found myself a comfortable sofa & some great DVDs recently, movie watching has become my favorite past time in the evenings. I have watched some really nice movies in the last 2 weeks and re-watched the good ones. I also managed to watch my growing collection of comedy shows like Seinfeld, Friends & Mind Your Language.

It's also nice to have my close friends over once more to watch some movies with me. I am looking forward to attending the Asian Film Festival which is just round the corner. Apart from that, I am learning lots of new things from these movies for my personality development courses and living a better life. I hope you all can watch this movie "Runaway Jury" - an excellent movie about stopping gun violence. This is all for now, going to watch another movie, this time I am watching some old Laurel & Hardy movies. After all, laughter is the best medicine!

Message Blog for 18th September - Spies Everywhere
I don't know if I am the only one who notices this but it seems like all malls, theatres, multiplexes, major boutiques, hotels, restaurants, bars & lounges in Mumbai are suddenly equipped with security(& spy) cameras. These cameras obviously seem to be operated by someone, as I see them often focussing in on young girls & ladies rather than actually doing security work. I feel sorry for Mumbai girls as it is no longer safe for them to adjust or fiddle with their clothes in any public place even if they are alone.

I was astounded that Mumbai Airport has even installed spy cameras in the toilets. A man or woman can no longer visit the "loo" alone!

On a final note, Google Earth is in the news again. This time for it's special zoom in clarity features in it's new professional version released just a few months ago. This time a young arabic woman was caught topless in her own home swimming pool and found her videos spread across the internet through blogs in less than 2 hours.

I wonder, will these advancements in Bombay Technology increase the crimes(especially sex crimes) against the helpless, innocent indian women in the years to come. We will have to wait & see. My guess is that Mumbai girls will choose to be safe rather than sorry & self defence classes will be made compulsory in all girls schools.
