Message Blog for 12th September - Still No Justice
It may come as a shock to some of you that in the last 40 years in our country there has not been more than 3 instances where a terrorist or mass murderer has been brought to justice. And, there have been 40 such attacks in the last 14 years itself. In the last 4 attacks in Maharashtra the police have not even found the guilty party yet!

Just hope they wake up soon.....the justice system & the police that is. And more importantly let us hope the politicans do not interfere in the work of the police of our state.

Message Blog for 25th August - Workshop at K.C. College
I had the good fortune of being invited for a workshop on "Time Management" at K.C. College today. I was amazed to witness the professionalism in organising this workshop by the faculty concerned for their degree college students.

The teachers and the principal were extremely down to earth and treated me like a VIP. The workshop itself was excellent and the feedback I recieved from the 100 odd students present there was amazing. I hope to travel back to this reputed college in the next few months.

Apart from that, this week I gave 3 different interviews with journalists from 2 magazines & the Times of India respectively. It is disheartening to learn that most journalists of today are focussing on the negative aspects of relationships and not the positive ones. I hope this is just a temporary trend of certain journalists that I happen to bump into.

Everything else is going great, looking forward to the weekend and a much needed break on sunday.

Message Blog for 16th August - Heavy Rains once more
There have been heavy rains once more today disrupting the routines of thousands of people in Mumbai. For me though, life went on as normal. Had my classes this afternoon and did my work this evening for a project I am working on.

There are however tons of things to do during the rains as I realised after my journalism class this afternoon. The topic given to my students was "What you do when it rains" and they put in a pretty decent effort & came out with flying colours.

Hope you enjoy the rains as much as I do. For me, it's still the best time of the year!

Message Blog for 15th August - Happy Independence Day
Happy Independence day to all my indian readers. It is indeed a great celebration moment for the most democratic & secular country in the world. I certainly hope all indians will hoist the indian flag outside their home or on their vehicles to mark this celebration.

I have just begun as the head faculty for the Mass Communication & Journalism course today at SDIMS. It was an interesting afternoon of theory & practicals. You can read articles, reviews, etc. of the students on www.isovo.com from 20th of August.

Will be going out this afternoon after 3 months for some relaxing on the rocks at Madh Island. It should be lovely. It's just beautiful to watch the sea water gently hit against the rocks and the birds fly in the sky. I only hope it doesn't rain too much else I might have to go to Bandstand instead.

Happy independence day once again to you. Have a great day!

Message Blog for 7th August - Back to Normal?
The spirit of Mumbai is talked about so much these days that it actually makes me sick. The spirit of Mumbai is basically a 'chalta hai attitude' that does not care a damn what really happens to the city.

The people who show this spirit are people who have come from out of Mumbai here for employment or education. They have no real symbolic oneness with Mumbaikars and care a damn what happens to our city.

They will go back to work after floods, blasts, etc. as if everything was normal without paying their taxes, mind you. That's not right, the spirit of the real Mumbaikar has vanished and what is now there is anger, intolerance, feeling of betrayal and distrust in the law-makes and politicans that govern Mumbai.

So, let us stop this rubbish talk about Spirit of Mumbai and for once the journalists & news reporters should try finding some real news on the field to report and talk about. And for those that come to this city illegally please note your days in this city are numbered!

Message Blog for 15th July - Thank God It's finally Wednesday
Tuesdays is the day when maximum terrorist attacks take place whether it was 9/11 or 7/11. There have been over 3 dozen terrorist attacks in the last 15 years which have taken place on Tuesdays. It makes for an astonishing 65% of the total terrorist activities!

Therefore, I urge you all to be more careful on Tuesdays. Step out of your home at your own risk. Check under the hood of your cars. Check under the seats of the public transport you are travelling in. If you find something out of the ordinary make no hesitation in dialing 100 in Mumbai to intimate the police of your suspicions. It would be wise to bunk college or work on Tuesdays & ask for your weekly off on Tuesdays.

It is time, that Mumbaikars protest together against the infiltration of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, POK, Pakistan, Nepal, etc. into Mumbai. It is time we drive these foreign people out of our lands to ensure safety in our city. A renowned actress of yesteryear keeps appearing on TV these days defending the rights of illegal slum dwellers in Mumbai. I think it's time she is asked to leave the city as well. She has no right to defend illegal people settled in Mumbai without a lawyer's degree. The only qualification she has is of acting in loads of flop movies. Unfortunately she carrries those acting skills into real life. It is quite obvious for a body language expert to see that she is lying in every statement she makes on TV. Viewers please note how she looks away from the cameras when she speaks something that's a complete lie!

Unfortunately, there are around 21 other people on TV these days who follow similar lying patterns for their own benefit and for the benefit of the political parties they support slyly and without the public even knowing they are directly linked to a certain party. It is time that the common man alone is asked questions on TV on these unethical TV channels we get on air these days.

It is time, that Mumbaikars unite as one and protest against the infiltration of illegal immigrants and slum dwellers in the city. There is no excuse for Bangladeshis coming here. They do not belong to this country. Also, there is no excuse for anyone settling down in Mumbai without a valid Ration Card and Work Permit!

Please write letters to all the top newspapers, voice your opinions on the top news channels, submit your views to the top blogs on the internet. All the super countries like USA and UK deal with terrorism extremely rapidly and with utmost force. It is time we do the same. We cannot travel in trains not knowing whether the Bangladeshi sitting next to us is carrying a bomb or materials to make a bomb. Let us make Mumbai safe again. Also, while we are on it - who actually smeared Mud on Meenatai's statue?

Message Blog for 14th July - On Vacation!
I am officially on vacation. Will be on leave till 2nd of August so wil not update this blog till then. It feels great to know that so many of you are reading this blog regularly and sending in your opinion to Enoma. I will be updating this blog almost every second day from August 15th as I am the head faculty of the department of Mass Communication & Journalism at SDIMS. Till then though, see you all!

Message Blog for 12th July - A Day after Yesterday!
Mumbai was once again held hostage to terrorists yesterday with 7 bombs exploding their way through tough metal trains on the western line of Mumbai Railways. Hundreds lost their lives, thousand odd injured, some still lost & confused, family members still searching for their families. Could it get any worse!

The good side(as usual) was the people of Mumbai who once again stepped up to the plate and helped total strangers. Lifting bodies, donating blood, serving free tea & water to passers-by. Mumbaikars by far are the best citizens of the world at such times. Shame on Readers Digest for calling Mumbai the rudest city on earth!

Will the system crash each time & hide when disaster strikes. The answer right now is "Yes". I was shocked to see some film personalities use this event to generate more publicity for themselves. Rahul Bose, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, etc. and others should be ashamed that they are using such events to benefit their own dying image.

The bad part about all this, is that even in the future nothing really will change. The system & the runners of the system will continue sitting on pots of crores of rupees using it to fund their luxury cars, homes and their son's college education at Harvard. They will just sit back & watch as Mumbaikars clear the problems away & moving on with their lives as the power hungry Netas continue sitting back & giving the odd sympathy interview on TV.

A revolution is near & hopefully thereafter will be a better dawn for Mumbai. A city that deserves a lot more from the un-educated politicians at the center. Mumbaikars survive & survive with more vigour & vitality than ever before....I just hope & pray that we keep on going strong!

Message Blog for 4th July - Things to Do when it Rains!
Mumbaikars are witnessing heavy showers these last 2 days & chances are it will continue till thursday as per the weatherunderground.com weather forecast on our website. So, the question is what do you do when it rains....

For me, I love sitting on the computer playing games or reading some great articles, jokes, etc. on the internet.

Secondly, I love listening to music of all kinds on my Kenwood Music System. My favorites are spanish guitar and piano compositions. I even managed to download Kitaro's latest album from the internet & listen to it on my computer today.

Thirdly, you should have regular doses of hot tea served to you while you are at home. You can have onion pakoras or ginger cookies with these cups of tea.

Fourthly, reading is my passion. Whenever I am not training, I am reading in my spare time. Reading any book basically. I was reading a massage manual today that I bought almost 2 years ago from Flora Foutain and it was very helpful to learn so much from it. I will possibly soon be setting up my own massage parlour in Mumbai suburbs.

Fifthly, you can try your hand at cooking, baking or just about mess around in the kitchen learning to cook or making tasty hot recipes with whatever you have left at home.

Sixthly, if you are like me - You can put on your raincoat & go out for a nice long walk along Versova Rocks and the beautiful roaring sea. That's what I did for 2 hours yesterday.

Seventhly, you could get things organised around the home. I straightened my book shelves as well as went through my clothes cabinets today. It took around 5 hours in all but well worth it.

Eightly, you can make your goals for the future or go through the old ones & modify them. You have all the time in the world.

Ninthly, you can just sit and stare at the beautiful greenery outside your window while the rains falls down. I am extremely fortunate to have my bedroom facing the trees in the area around my apartment. It is just wonderful watching the rain fall down as I sit at the computer or read my book.

Tenthly, you can go to sleep....which is what I intend to do now.....so sweet dreams!

Message Blog for 26th June - Enjoying the Game!
Things are going great. The summer workshops came to an end last week so I am un-officially on leave from today. I am however still occupied working on my next book and a few new courses.

Of course, the world cup is going well and Wimbledon has begun too. It will be nice to watch Sania, Federer & Co. playing on the lush green grass again. Will have to really plan my schedule well to catch all the big games & moments.

I will be going on a vacation in a couple of weeks so will not update my blog till I return in 20 days. However, I will try & write a few short memories on this blog every few days till I go on a vacation break.

This is all for now, will keep you posted on new things happening & my life....

Message Blog for 8th June - One Day to Go!
I will not be updating my blog regularly from tommorow due to the football world cup. But, I definitely will be sharing my experiences on where I went with my friends to watch the matches, etc.

My life revolves around football right now. All the dicussions I have with friends, family members, students, strangers, etc. revolves around the intense topic of soccer. It's a game full of passion & life, energy & intensity, love & war, etc.

Tommorow is the opening ceremony at 8pm India time followed by the first match of the FIFA world cup 2006 namely Germany Vs Costa Rica. I have already painted my bandana with the teams I am supporting and will be wearing the same where I go to watch the games.

I will be painting my face with the team's flag towards the quarter finals and beyond. So, if I am someone that you cannot recognise then please excuse me. This event is what I wait for. This is what is most important to me in my life right now. Nothing is bigger, nothing is better. I urge you all to watch the football world cup.

Take any of the 2 teams playing a match & support them. I always support the underdogs. I love when the underdog wins, of course unless they win against Argentina. I will be at Liquid Paradise or Enigma tommorow for the first match. See you there. Ciao!

Message Blog for 5th June - Just 4 Days to Go!
Over 2 Billion people eagerly await the 9th of June for the biggest live event in history - the FIFA Football World Cup kicks off in Munich, Germany.!

There are german fans who have painted their houses in the colors of the german flag. Indian fans have changed their hairstyles to football shapes & british hooligans are eagerly awaiting the first England VS Paraguay match on Saturday with beer mugs in their hands.

We as Mumbaikars must not miss a single match this world cup. Change your schedule so you can watch the matches with your loved ones & close friends. I will also be hanging out for all the big games at pubs with large screens in the western suburbs.

I am also grateful to my students for reading my football blogs every single day. I have even got feedback from all over the world thanking me for giving match to match predictions & my expert views based on numerology!

Hope you all enjoy the cup, nothing else to say! Will add a blog in a few days time...

Message Blog for 1st June - Dead Day!
Today was a dead day in Mumbai. Lakhs of people bunked work, classes, outings, etc. due to the rains & expected thunder showers. Students called to cancel class and Enoma obliged!

As I sit here by my window typing this blog, I am pained by the complete stillness in the air outside. There is no breeze and the roads seem empty which is quite shocking for a working day in Mumbai.

WE as Mumbaikars must not be scared of the rains in such a way. Monsoons are actually good to go out and have fun. You can take walks in the park, beaches, etc. getting wet and feeling the light breeze on your face. You can enjoy hot kanda bhajias & cutting chai on the street corners of Mumbai.

The monsoons used to be the best time of the year in Mumbai. I would eagerly await the rains so I could go outside to play football in the garden, meet my friends, talk long walks at the beach, sit for hours at sea view cafe listening to the sound of the rains & the waves, etc. Now, people sit indoors glued to news channels repeating the same news again and again. Come on Mumbai, Wake up & enjoy the Monsoons once more!

Message Blog for 31st May - Monsoon Mania!
Monsoons have begun again this year with a bang. The BMC Commissioner has already sent a SMS to all mobile phone users warning them of heavy rains in Mumbai in the next 48 hours. I wonder how many such messages we will recieve from the BMC these monsoons!

My advice to all Mumbaikars is keep a close watch on the weather forecasts of Mumbai on weather.com & on Google. Do not be influenced by TV Channels like NDTV 24X7, Times Now, Aaj Tak, Sahara Samay, Star News, etc who literally scare the viewers with their "breaking news" & immature weather updates. Instead visit the best weather sites daily or keep switching TV News channels to get an accurate idea of what's really happening in Mumbai.

WE as Mumbaikars live in a great city. Let not the spirit of Mumbai die with the Monsoons & immature news updates. Remember, it was just 2 years ago when people actually loved the monsoons in Mumbai. Don't let there be a repeat of July 26th, 2005 this year. You have been warned already by the BMC & me. Take the right precautions!

Message Blog for 29th May - It's Your Life!
Your health will determine to a large extent your quality of life. I have been at the revieving end of the effects of bad health just 3 years ago!

In 2002, I would not be able to play football or even climb 3 flight of stairs without breathing heavily. My health was a major concern back then. Infact I weighed 20 kilos more than what I weight right now. I worked hard to be fit again, changing my lifestyle and my food habits for good.

Your health is extremely important to your quality of life & your life span. Don't take it lightly, if you want to be around for a long time you must work on improving your health every single day!

Message Blog for 25th May - Anger Management!
People often called me an angry young man when I was younger. The tag seemed to fit perfectly for many years. Until, I discovered that letting out one's anger was actually the only way of controlling it!

So, next time you lose your cool be quick to let out your anger. Letting it out releases the anger & holding it inside increases it. The anger grows inside for years until one day you explode.

Ensure you are not a victim of your anger. Control your anger by letting it out!

Message Blog for 18th May - Communication counts!
Communication skills is perhaps the main reason our public speaking students win inter-collegiate contests each year. Also, the top reason why people with good communication skills seem to excel in their respective careers.

It's never too late to sharpen your communcation & public speaking skills. A lot of your success in life depends on your ability to be understood by others & your methodology of expressing your views effectively.

Take part in debates, impromptu speech contests, etc. Join good public speaking courses & be part of public speaking clubs in your area. Never hesitate to increase your communication skills repetoire. Be the best communicator you can be!

Message for Blog 16th May - Laughter Strikes!
Depression is a major problem facing most people in the modern times. It can be cured by taking a break or doing things that make you happy. Watching shows on TV that make you laugh and smile are better than shows that make you cry.

Do not stay idle. Life is too short to stay indoors & not do much. If you stay in because of the summer heat then watch "Seinfeld", "Friends", "Tom & Jerry", etc. These shows can really tickle your funny bone & make you laugh. Dull days get brighter with funny movies & shows.

As the old adage goes....Laughter is the best medicine!

Message Blog for 14th May - Rotaracters Hooray!
Today I was called to judge 2 events at the Summer Fest of Rotaract Club, H.R. College. One event was a contest called "Switch" and the other was "Lit King & Lit Queen". I found myself in the company of Manish Goel, Kunal Kohli & a couple of MTV VJ's who were also called to judge some events.

What surprised me is the enthuastic participation of the club members of H.R. College during the last 2 days. It shows that today's youth are pretty interested in developing their personality & being part of the great social revolution taking place in Mumbai right now.

The Rotaract Clubs have always fascinated me since I was a college student. I wanted to be part of these clubs and do more for society & myself. Unfortunately, the colleges I was part of did not have a Rotaract Club. So, all I had to live with were Psychology Associations, Debating Clubs, Natural History Society, USIS, etc.

My humble request is that you as a student of life must not miss out like I did on great clubs & assocations during school & college days. Infact, it is quite important that young minds recieve regular training in personality development skills & public speaking to enchance their chances of dealing with the pressures of everyday life with greater success.

Message Blog for 7th May - Life's Tough!
Life is tough. I remember these words written in my autograph book in school by one of my school mates. And, how true it was & is!

Life is not always as happy as you want it to be. At times, your life may be cut short due to unforeseen forces & you will have to leave this beautiful world before your due time.

Therefore, it is wise to educate yourself & have fun each day. Be a student of life not just a student of the classroom. Do more in life, go out instead of spending time on stupid TV soaps, spending hours playing counter strike & chatting with strangers over the internet, etc.

Instead spend more time with your loved ones, family members & close friends. Tommorow may never come...so live your life each day learning something new & having fun!
