This happens to my uncle in year 1950s at Woodland. My uncle is working with PUB (now known as S'pore Power) and were given a place to stay at Woodland. My uncle has just came back from work. He was riding a bicycle. On the way, he saw a very pretty lady standing on the side of the road. The lady wanted a lift from him.

Being sympathy towards a lady, my uncle agreed to send her. But as he cycle, he feels that the bike is getting heavier & heavier. That's not all, he also smells something stinky.

He then stops cycling and pick up a small stone on the roadside. He said some prayers and then he said to the lady. If you are human, please forgive me but if you are not, please go away and do not disturb me.

As soon as he said that, he throw the stone at that lady. The 'lady' gave a loud scream and turn into a pontianak and flew away. My uncle had fever for three days because of that incident.
