My Story: This is a true story related to me by my dad. His dad that is my grandpa lived in kampong house during fifties. There were no hospital facilities during that time. One has to travel a long distance to reach the town hospital.My grandfather's younger brother had been admitted in the town hospital due to a serious illness. Even though the distance is far my grandfather would visit him most of the time.

One particular night, my grandad came back late from work. He was very tired and he dozed off. In the middle of the night, there was a knock on his door and he woke up. "Who could that be knocking at his door at this hour" he thought. There was not only a knock but someone was calling his name! And it sounds like his brother's voice!!!. His brother was knocking and calling "Anneh...Anneh.."which means (brother...brother) in tamil. He was shock. He woke my grandma up and told her his brother is calling him and he got up and walked toawrds the door opened it & went out calling his brother, leaving my grandma in total shock!. My grandma called out to my grandfather to come back but he don't seem to listen to her...and kept on walking & pointing towards the woods saying that his brother is calling him and is walking over there. My grandma was shocked and frightened and wondered what happedned to her husband.

All this commotion woke my father up. My father was in his teens at that time. He and his mother without wasting anymore time ran out and brought my grandfather home and calmed him down saying that he must have been thinking of his brother too much or that he must have had a nightmare and that there was no one knocking on the door. After a long while, everything was calm & back to normal.

It was ard 10 in the morning that the shocking piece of news came to my grandfather that his brother passed away yesterday. My grandfather was too heartborken and he cried. He told them that yesterday the knocking sound he heard was not an imagination. It could be the soul of his brother which came to tell him a last goodbye in this world.
