As he look back across the street at the park, which lay still in the darkness. Overwhelmed by concern, he jogged across the street and looked into the park. This was in spite of the fact(not the fats)that he saw that there were a few empty benches, but there was no one around.

Suddenly, to his surprise, he noticed her. She was a small girl. She was trying to peer over the fence. At the same time she was sobbing. The entrance of the park was just next to where she was standing. Vincent quickly went to the gate and walked to the girl.
