On August 28, 2003 me and my brother Justin were traveling down a long dirt road. When the sun disappeared below the horizon the shadows danced across the road from the light of the moon. The dirt road seemed endless and grew more erie as we traveled. As time seemed to crawl by we grew more and more impatient to arrive at our grandparents house, to be welcomed in such a warm and lovely manner would heal the cold shallowness of our travels. As I sat and stared out of my window I watched the moon hide behind the clouds. RJ It was my first time driving in new jersey the old dirt roads all seemed the same to me. I was pretty sure the next road was it. The engine on the cheap rent-a-car was giving me crap all day. Oh and just some bg today was the worst day in my life our flight was canceled,lost MY Stuff at the airport and it was only going to get worst. How you ask? Well first off we were lost. Oh and somthing worst than that our car was about to break down. jj Distracted by the star scenery I never noticed the noises the car made. Soon I found myself walking alongside my brother down the dirt road. It seemed so calm and peaceful although the trees swayed with the wind and the silence was odd. As we made our way down the road I noticed a large group of birds flying overhead. At first the number of birds was small than it grew at such a rapid rate, they circled in a perfect path. I wasn't sure which was more morbid the birds or the path we traveled itself. After an hour we came to a large tree which was engraved at the trunk "Beware of the one who travels at night, beware when the birds gather under moonlight" it was scary and the birds seemed to grow in numbers. RJ Ryan kept making small talk about stars birds and a sign or something. I was not really listening I was to worried what grandma and grandpa were thinking. Were they worried or frieghten. Did they think wee were not coming or what. It was now completly dark and the moon was swallowed by the purple clouds of the night.
